Ronny Busby worked for several years as a club DJ at the Mullet Bay resort in
St. Maarten, Netherlands Antilles and is currently a managing partner of The
Castle Nightclub & Lounge on the island.
It was also in the early 80’s when he began a career in radio, with PJD2
Radio, as on-air personality for the mid day show and master mix DJ
for the Saturday nightclub mix. Wanting to gain more knowledge in media,
particularly in radio and television, he attended Miami Dade Community College
graduating in 1990. Ronny obtained a degree in Radio & TV Programming,
as well as a degree in Broadcasting. He then continued for another
4 years at Florida International University in Miami and graduated in 1994
with a Bachelor off Science degree in Broadcast Management and Marketing.
He then returned to his island of origin, St. Maarten, and started the company
Limelite Media. This new venture, has provided him with many opportunities to
produce and write for television news, as well as several magazine programs such
as: “Tourism Today”, “Reality”, and “The Source”.
Limelite Media, owned and operated by Ronny Busby, has worked very closely in
the area of product development with TelCell, which happens to be the largest
cellular phone provider on the island. Other focuses of Limelite Media have entailed
development of marketing schemes for the cellular company, with promotions utilizing
celebrities and artists such as Bow Wow, and Usher among others.
The Source, a television program produced by Ronny, was nominated in 2004 for
“best investigative reporting” by the Caribbean Broadcast Union.
Ronny Busby is well recognized for his work as co-host, on the most popular morning radio
show in the Caribbean, “Buzz and Bulldog” on Laser 101FM.

the Netherlands, among many celebrated events.
Henry Knowles met Ronnie Busby during a visit to St. Maarten in 1982, and have
become very close friends since then. Ronny has organized many DJ appearances,
radio interviews and newspaper articles for Henry on the island. Both have had
the same dream, for quite some time, to bring this event to the people of St.
Maarten and the Caribbean.
